The Billabong Cabin sits among the gumtrees on the Gumtree Retreat property — 40 acres of Orara Valley bush with no neighbours visible, no foot traffic, and nothing to do but rest.
Overnight stays include supper and a breakfast hamper. It's designed as a proper retreat — somewhere to arrive, slow down, and leave feeling like yourself again.
Most guests combine an overnight stay with a full spa day. Arrive in the morning for treatments, stay the night, and drive home after breakfast. Andrew and Michelle have been running the retreat since 2006 and take their time with every guest.

Gumtree Retreat is at 3570 Orara Way, Kungala NSW 2460 — in the Orara Valley hinterland, midway between Grafton and Coffs Harbour. From Coffs Harbour, take the Pacific Highway south, turn right onto Orara Way at Glenreagh and follow the valley road for about 15 minutes. From Grafton, head north on the Pacific Highway and turn left onto Orara Way. Total drive: 45 minutes from Coffs, 35 minutes from Grafton. Search "Gumtree Retreat Kungala" in Google Maps.
